If your doing the Sound of Music Tour then take this tip, whilst walking from the bus to the church go into this cafe first for a quick bite to eat and coffee. The rest of the bus party go on to the church first but believe me eating here first then going to the church is better, less crowded. Coffee is great and theres a good selection of sandwiches and cakes.
We had a couple of espresso drinks and a really fine plum pastry at Cafe Frank. It was quiet with some tables in the back beyond the pastry/coffee counter. The staff were friendly and helpful. The coffee was really good. Very hard to resist the other pastries on offer.
Visited this café as part of a bus tour with a stop at Lake Mondsee. Coffee was excellent, but pastries were nothing special. Had the Sacher Tor, which was not even close to the original Sacher Hotel version. Lemon Cheesecake was light and ok
Lovely bakery with gorgeous breads and pastries. They do not know how to make coffee though, even with the whiz bang coffee machine standing there.
