Breisach am Rhein is one of the charming destinations for a short trip or a day trip – with a culinary background. Of course, the Münsterberg is one of the absolute hotspots of the place. Just a few steps below the Münster and the local Best Western Hotel, wonderfully built in the hills, with a unique view of the Rhine and the Vosges, lies the etoile that does not “just” a café, as perhaps the name would suggest. It is a tasteful restaurant, an atmospheric tapas bar, an illustrious gallery, a great excursion destination and a wonderful viewpoint – highly recommended in summer and winter. We were lucky to meet at an unexpected 20 degrees on Easter Saturday and find a coveted place on the sun...
beautiful location in the breisacher oberstadt with views of the Rhine and Vogesen. service very attentive and friendly.But: eating is a catastrophe!!!Baguette rolls from the freezer. salami from discounter. salad with ready sauce. the offered tapas are not worth their names.The cafe was opened on a well-known breisacher artist who is working for the European project. Why is it not in the position to offer genuine European cuisine? homemade tapas as in Spanish that meet their name. real baguette, how to get it in france at the baker. Instead, deep-cooling and finished products of lower quality are served. very bad and therefore not worth the visit!
A beautiful location at the foot of Breisacher Münster in artistic ambience. Interesting map with very good and high quality food, tasteful and freshly prepared. The owners and staff are always very friendly, attentive and helpful. On the large-scale seating in the indoor and outdoor areas it is very nice to stay and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Rhine and the Vosges. On sunny days, dreamy sunsets can be experienced here. The price/performance ratio is absolute. I or we have been there several times and will certainly also like to come back.
a dreamlike view over the roofs of the river, the river banks of the Rhine and the adjoining rivers, which offer an excellent scenery for enchanting sunsets, attract some early evening to the café etoile am münsterberg. the ascent to breisach’s stadtberg is rewarded not only with a dreamlike, but also with spicy aperitifs and a fine tapas kitchen. the coworkers of the caffes provide friendly and always good mood for the well-being of their guests. the ideal address for relaxed evenings with stylish and creative ambiente!

by Café l’étoile himself. The caffe has a small beautifully decorated but tight terrace with a super view over the Rhine, the operation was very sympathetic and dynamic. we only drank a bit this time, but next time, we eat a small thing -;)so nice localities are too rare and you have to support.

Very nice small café with great map. Very attentive service, super ambience,view to the Rhine and very fresh kitchen. We'll be back.
