Clamcey to Auxerre is 35k as the crow flies, 45k by shortest road distance, but 70k by a restored and luxuriously fitted barge, the 'Luciole ' (or Firefly) travelling along the Canal Nivernais and River Yonne at walking speed. 9 guests (maximum 14) were picked up in Paris and bussed to Chamcey where we were greeted by Captain Francisco and the rest of the staff Kimberley, Moeme, Jade, Luke and Andy, who made everyone welcome and treated us all as friends and honoured guests. All cabins were comfortable and had ensuites. Breakfasts were continental with fruits, cereals and fresh local patisserie. This place had great coffee and they also serve food and desserts. We just wanted a dessert and coffee, so it was a nice stop.
Very good food and drinks. Reasonably priced with excellent service. Shady corner very convenient to BHV and Hotel de Ville.
Serving was immeasurable and prices was average,so please there with no hesitation,if you have time in PARIS.
