The place is supposedly a must visit but not that special. Coffee wise it's average. The service polite but somewhat confused. I saw one glutenfree option (on top of your regular and foolproof gf classics macaroons) and perhaps one could find more if one wanted to inquire about cakes. I got the classic Wachaukugeln as gifts. One tip I can offer is to buy them loose rather than in these small packs with ribbons cheaper this way.
They offer a big variety of homemade cookies and cakes. Most of them are really great! They also have a great area for you to sit on the 1st floor. WiFi is for free and you are even allowed to plug in your tablet or phone so you can charge it. Don't miss out if visiting Krems. Lovely and very very friendly staff.
Very much enjoyed the tour and demonstrations on the first floor. The chocolates were superb especially the caramel coated chocolates that we made and ate fresh. The cake was also delicious. Our demonstrator spoke English so we could easily follow. Wonderful shop and they ship!
Order a coffee and some pastry or cake and go sit outside on small street terrace. You will have a top spot to follow the people passing by the street. If you wan to sit inside and downstairs look a bit crowded, go to the upstairs salon! Book a table now
We managed to order our coffee and pastries and get a place out on their terrace where we could people watch . Service excellent as was the quality of food and drinks. Does get busy but so it should. If you are in the area, pop...in.
During a Danube River Cruise we stopped in Krems and had a chance to explore this city. The waitstaff were very friendly and explained various pastries to the non-German speakers in the group.
This is the place to go in Krems if you want to spoil yourself with a delicious dessert and a good cup of coffee. The interior is cozy and nicely decorated, while service is reasonable.
I remember these from my childhood and they were delicious here! Lovely place for a quick afternoon sweet treat. Lots of chocolate, baked good and delicious looking fruit parfaits. Book a table now
Great little coffee house with some great sweets, i tried the hot chocolate and the hazelnut cream cake but also looked at the cheesecake they had, delicious
