Cafe-Konditorei Hagmann

Let me start with the ugly: The espresso was so diluted and lukewarm, that it seemed like it came out of a percolator and not an espresso maker. Not sure what happened there, maybe I got a second pull from the previous batch of coffee grinds... The cakes were okay, but do not even come close to the ones you can get in Vienna (e.g, Dommayer, Heiner). Somehow the pastry chef seems to like this weird sticky chocolate ganache which seems to be slapped on a multitude of desserts. Ugly, as True would say. The absolutely awesome cake was the Topfenkuchen, a traditional Austrian cheesecake.Service was super slow and kept banging plates around. Not pleasant if you want to have a discussion. Would I g...

Craving for something sweet? This is the place to go! The cakes are incredibly delicous. Sadly the coffee is not worth being orderd otherwise this cozy coffeehouse would get full points. Have a drink somewhere else and than go try an amazing Kardinalsschnitte. Personal advice: The tables and atmosphere on the first floor are way nicer.

We managed to order our coffee and pastries and get a place out on their terrace where we could "people watch". Service excellent as was the quality of food and drinks. Does get busy but so it should. If you are in the area, pop in.

This is the place to go in Krems if you want to spoil yourself with a delicious dessert and a good cup of coffee. The interior is cozy and nicely decorated, while service is reasonable.

Great little coffee house with some great sweets, i tried the hot chocolate and the hazelnut cream cake but also looked at the cheesecake they had, delicious
