This café has all the tables in the beautiful Bishopsplatz but it is often empty only attracting a few tourists-the locals know not to go there. The tables were unclean and when I asked for black tea I was served an orange flavoured tea which...was awful. The plumcake I had was the worst I had during my stay in Germany. This café proudly shows a video in their kitchen window of how they bake their Baumkuchen but flies were buzzing around in there.I think the hygiene is dubious and I cannot recommend this café at all...there are several much better ones elsewhere in the town.

We were driving down to Köln and took a break at Limburg, at Cafe Kosmol. The location of this old cafe is really great with entire area laid with cobbled stones and surrounded by very old houses that survived the wars. Being Easter time, they...had a fantastic spread of cakes and chocolates besides the regular breads and Bamkuchen. We sat outside with the wonderful weather and the excellent view around us and enjoyed some lip smacking cakes and a coffee. Service was good and relaxed and we liked it overall.

very beautiful bakery in the old town. we bought the traditional baumkuchen, the hutzelbrot (a fruitcake/bread) and the mandelbrot to taste at home (because the covid pandemic,) is currently not allowed to eat in cafe. all our decisions were delicious and delicious. the mandelbrot is a bit “dry” but still good. try it with coffee or tee! I was very well served by a polite lady at the desk. the only part is the price; the three options we have chosen cost 37€.

Situated in the old town, this café is quaint and interesting. We ordered coffee and cherry tarts. Both were served by a friendly and helpful waitress. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and drink was excellent. While we were there a steady stream...of locals visited to purchase bread and cakes. One spent over 50 Euros on cakes. Prices were not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
