We stopped on a whim after catching a glimpse as we drove by on a scenic,back road route to Burg Eltz, and had a delightfully tasty light lunch in an absolutely magical setting. The creativity of the converted stone barn and courtyard was surprising and charming and the meal thoroughly enjoyable. Staff were perfect, all the guests were having a great time; we loved every minute of it. We had such a great time that at one point one of us quipped, What castle? as though all thought of our destination was erased by the pleasure of the moment. Go and enjoy!
Visited the Cafe Kostbar twice, once for coffee and cake and then went back for an evening meal they only open at weekends. We sat inside with our dog on both occasions. Service was excellent and there was a short freshly prepared menu. We enjoyed the barbecued Lamb and meringue cheesecake along with excellent beer and wine.
Durch Zufall entdeckt. Ein wunderschönes Café in dem man Abends auch essen kann. Kuchen war lecker, Personal superfreundlich. Haben gleich mal einen Tisch für abends reserviert. Nach unserer Einkehr heute Nachmittag.... eine unbedingte Empfehlung!????
Sehr schönes und gut geführtes Cafe. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und tolle Chefin. Klasse Ambiente und leckeres Kuchen. Da fühlt man sich sehr wohl und die Zeit scheint dort stehengeblieben zu sein. Komme gerne wieder. ????????

We went here after we visited Castle Eltz and loved it immediately. Friendly staff, beautiful garden, food was delicious and affordable. Cannot wait to go again.
