Right in the heart of town, you can find the Café Kruse that offers great coffee and Baumkuchen, the typical cake of the regio,...that comes in many variaties. You can sit in the courtyard too. From here you can explore Salzwedel town and park on foot. You can park two hours for € nearby or park a few streets away for free

Wir waren heute Nachmittag im Café Kruse und haben im Gartencafe gesessen. Der Baumkuchen ist sehr lecker und empfehlenswert, auch wenn er etwas teuer ist. Die Bedienung war jedoch unhöflich und arrogant. Kein Bitte, kein Danke. Wir wollten noch Baumkuchen zum Mitnehmen kaufen und hatten fast das Gefühl, dankbar sein zu müssen, dass wir ihn kaufen durften. Schade, das Produkt allein lohnt nicht für einen Besuch.
Der Baumkuchen schmeckt bestimmt immer, aber am Sonntag um 14:00 kann man sogar im Café zusehen, wie er hergestellt wird. Zum Probieren beginnen die Preise im Café bei 4 Euro. Wenn man um die Zeit gerade in Salzwedel ist, sollte man mal vorbei schauen. Book a table now
