We arrived in Biarritz in the early afternoon, and after a walk along the waterfront we began to get our hunger on. We tried 3-4 cafe's near the waterfront, and all of their kitchens were closed seeing as it was just past 3 o'clock. We stumbled a little bit further towards town and found Le Bar Bu, who to our delight were open! The waiter was a bit short on his English, but tried very hard to explain the menu, and in the end I went for the steak frites and the lady went for an omelette and salad. The steak was huge and cooked just how I like it, half alive. With bernaise sauce and a truckload of fries, I was in heaven. The salad and omelette was fantastic too.
