Cafe Leinpfad is directly on the water, which makes it the perfect place for an afternoon drink. Unfortunately, not the food nor the drinks were worth it. My friend had a Caipirinha and it was literally impossible to drink it. The sugar was crunchy on...the teeth, the drink itself tasted horribly. She asked it to be exchanged, it was, but it didn't get better. She never even drank half of the glass, that's how awful it was. As for food, they don't really have good vegetarian options, so I went for the pesto spagetti, which was swimming in oil. My first time in this “satellite” restaurant of the “Sommer Terrassen” was good. Not only because of the nice sunny weather but also of the service at the Cafe and the food served. We had the Scampi Salad and typical for Hamburg Matjes Herring with...fried potatoes and side salad. Both were good in quantity and quality. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. The prices acceptable and not too expensive. I can recommend this place despite previous reviews. Sometimes it’s also the way you treat the staff

We went here with some friends a warm evening in May, it was a fantastic scenery by the stream. The food was good and was wellserved, big to medium size portions. They mainly serve seafood, it can really be recommended to go here and enjoy...a good meal. The prizing is reasonable. It is also a perfect place to go and take a cup coffee. You can only be seated outside, so they are closed during the winter. It can be busy so it can be a good idea to reserve at table

We ate here on our day out in Hamburg. The setting is nice, just at the waterfront by the Alster canals. The food was also okay but then came the surprise. I ordered the bill minutes before the next boat would arrive and the...service personnel tactically waited so long that I didn't have any chance to wait for my change, so I ended up tipping some euros, because I only had a EUR note me. That's called cheating and this is why I advise not to visit this place

If you speak more German than me, ask for a little...cream. The waitress spoke enough English to help me and was very friendly and patient

Such a great location. Then comes the wait, then the waiterres not the first time,with such a face, seemed fine for people next to us, but the moment there was a question and not in prefect Germanit was too much. Pay more for locationnot quality....Stick to just a beercosting more than across the street and move on

We popped by on a sunny day for coffee and cake. It was good, with service ok. Its location is the real drawcard here though. It does get busy when the Alster boats stop by though. We'll be back though
