So sad to see that the owners go back to France. The restaurant Essen, Service and Ambiente was fabulous. Venice needs more good ethnic restaurants. They all do good business, but unfortunately it's hard to get servers and many customers don't type well what makes it hard to keep help. I will really miss this jewel of a restaurant! Last time last night.
Reviews for this restaurant were excellent and we just had to try it. Food exceeded our expectations and service was impeccable. We were saddened to hear that the restaurant will be closing at the end of the month.
The beef short ribs were delicious as well as the branzino. Service was very good despite them being very busy. Will return again...soon.
So sad they are closing at the end of March. We will really miss them.
