cafe lulu is a beautiful place in my neighborship where I could have breakfast with two friends. their hot chocolate can be made vegan when they order with soj milk (i asked if the chocolate powder was vegan and the waitress checked and confirmed, there are no explicitly vegan breakfast options. I had brot and a part of a peanut butter. there is a vegan suppe and three vegan main options on the menu that sounds good (goulash, sweet from wok, Indian lenses) and I hope to check them out a day. will be edited: had lunch with my friend. he had the vegetarian lunch menu (a pack with spinach filling,) I had the goulash that tasted more like a curry, but was really nice!
Service was good until we tried to pay. Their card machine did not work. I offered my business card to contact me when everything was functioning well and we were happy to pay. The tall bartender responded by offering to call the police. This unnecessarily...escalated the situation . We were essentially held hostage until the owner arrived and corrected the card machine. Staff were unprepared to deal with the situation and became awful. Would NOT recommend going here .
After a longer parking space search we could get a table in the already well visited "café lulu". the atmosphere was calm and relaxed and we were served courteously. before the rich and lovingly decorated main course we got an excellent suppee. we felt very comfortable in the "café lulu" and will recommend this locally. @Aylin: curry can also be red. next visit I bring a sample with-:)
the café lulu is located on the wedekindplatz in the list. on sunny days you can sit outside even if the traffic noise of the celler str. already disturbs a bit. the cheesburger is bad, the frikadelle looks like a cheesburger, but is always machine-made.Leider is also not so dolle. first you wait long for who comes and then you won't even be served friendly.

I was particularly enthusiastic about the local atmosphere and the associated hospitality. I have not eaten or enjoyed exceptional drinks, can only recommend to anyone who is in the opposite position to make here stationary.
