We were here for a brunch. The waitress refused to speak English. So we had to try our best to order in German :. We have ordered the Sunday burger deal, which should be included a cocktail. But the waitress didn’t want to give us...that cocktail as because she said she asked us if we want that cocktail. Well we didn’t hear that or maybe we didn’t noticed that as our German is just limited. But hey, why should she ask us when we order that menu? To confusing us? She said. I did ask you but you say nothing. : So for all you, if you don’t speak German as your first or second language please be aware of that issue. They will screw you
I came here two nights on the trot. I ordered the Traumtanzer burger. Probably one of the best juicy burgers I’ve had in a long time. As a side.. bratkatoffln which arrived covered in tiny well cooked onions. Absolutely delicious. Yes the waiters are not...the fastest but in summer it’s a lovely, busy vibe. The food however arrives promptly so it works out very well. I used my broken German without problem. They speak English fine and it’s well worth visiting in Detmold
The Café is located nicely in the middle of Detmold and the interrior of the Cafe tries to imitat big city flair. The service is friendly but painfully slow coffee arrived way ahead before the food. The food is decent but very overpriced for a big glas of fresh Orange Juice, Euros for a big latte macchiato. Would not recommend
Found this place by chance when looking for a place to meet for breakfast.Nice space, looks like it would be a great bar for the evening too, but breakfast menu is comprehensive, covering everything from light bites to full on hearty bacon / pancakes options.Pricing good, great coffee too and service was also excellent.

Outback, difficult to get a table, no mater what day of the week you go, the tables are always reserved which really frustrates me. The upside..once you get a seat the service, ambience, and food is very good especially the burgers. Eaten on many occasions throughout the years and have never been disappointed.
Cafe Outback is the go to meeting place for theatre folk. It boasts a friendly and attractive waitstaff, crispy flammkuchen, and although the drinks are Frankfurt prices, they really give you your money's worth of alcohol. I haven't had a cocktail I didn't like. Do however, avoid the nachos.
We had a very nice dinner there with colleagues. Their burgers are amazing, meat is fresh and good and their homemade buns are delicious. I tried one with chili and onions named Katrina something and recommand to test it. Staff is nice and athmosphere is...very friendly
Being Australian, it's nice to have a cafe that reminds me of home (in name, if not by food). This place does great cocktails and the hamburgers aren't that bad either. They have some nice deals on Thursdays and Sundays.
