I've come here a few times to write or study, mostly just drinking tea, but I recently tried one of the soups. I would definitely go back, even if only for the MASSIVE tea and hot drinks selection -- especially nice in winter. There is a very large menu and a sizable dessert selection as well, though I haven't tried and can't speak to those.I've only ever come on weekdays, and Cafe Podium draws a varied crowd: families, friends, couples, and it's always crowded, anytime after about 3:00 p.m. The seating area is ample, and the feel of the space is like lounge-meets-cozy. First of all is the foods, they make an good impression on me with the variety cusisne in the menu. Not only the presentation of the foods they put on the plate is realy amazing!! but also they did really fantastic on seasoning it. OMG! i love the Flammkuchen here so much!!❤️❤️❤️. It is both gastronomie and coffe shop so that friend and family can enjoy some cups of coffee with the professional trained, fast service. Last but not least CaféPodium is realy clean and tidy. In bottom line CaféPodium is my recommendation
Love this restaurant/cafe (one of my favorites to visit in Aalen) ... whether it's for a quick coffee or a leisurely meal, it's always worth a visit!!!Food is delicious, the restaurant has a good atmosphere/vibe and it is in a very good central location! Service is mostly always good although, when they are busy, service can be slow and that lets them down a bit, that is my only reason for rating 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, its a great place to be! Definitely recommend Cafe Podium!
Been there 4 times so far in our Aalen stay and will be going again I am sure. Great beers and drinks and the foods excellent with very helpful staff. Lovely to sit outside and look at everything that is going on around you. When it suddenly got cooler they brought out sheepskins to sit on and blankets to put over you if you did not want to go and sit inside in the warm comfortable surroundings

On a sunny day, enjoy the view on the beautiful old city buildings, the people walking by and a good glass of Latte Macchiato. If you're hungry: fresh salads & local specialties. During teatimes: genuin and generous German "Torte". Only thing missing: Kartoffelsalat! Wifi is excellent, love to work here in the sun. Service is nice and friendly.
The place is every day crowded and is seems that the majority is local residents, that means they prefer it too. It has a variaty of foods specially german and either the amount either the price are reasonable enough. Take into account that it's located in the city centre. I would reccomend it for someone that has days to spend in town..
This was an excellent venue with very helpful staff. Despite the fact that we were travelling with a large group the service was excellent and the staff attentive. They also provide English menus on request.
Located in the city center of Aalen equipped with a good terrace. We had a outdoor lunch here twice. Very good and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Nice clean restrooms too.

Cosy, clear ambience... a street café with an old town flat. Freshly prepared meals and a rich drink card are rounded off by friendly attentive staff.
Very nice beer and fast food. It is very well positioned downtown. It is a very good option for a sunny place, with tables outside.
