I worked in that restaurant and the owner had us working 10 hours a day, he told me that the contract said 8 hours but it would be 10 and then he would pay me in cash for the rest. He never paid me, he also fed us sausages and pasta and then deducted 300 francs from our salary for that miserable meal. They take advantage of foreign workers whom they exploit and treat badly, taking advantage of the need. He had a poster in the kitchen saying “the chef is a dictator” and that's how he behaved. If something went wrong he would throw things from the kitchen at you and scream like a madman. I learned French swear words in that kitchen. Lovely service from the staff, even though I didn't speak French, they were super accommodating and kind. There's an English menu if you don't speak or read much French, which I thought was great. Got the whitefish (fera) filet, it was really fresh, and the portion was super generous. Got it with a side of fries and it came with a plate of salad and some bread. I thought the price was very affordable and I was very pleased with the experience.
