Just to the right of St Stephens Cathedral in Passau’s Old Town, a unique cafe/restaurant. Wonderful and uniquely decorative rooms and furniture. The hot chocolate and pastries were so delicious we returned later in the day for hot food. All beautifully presented and served and...with very little waiting time. The longest waiting time was waiting to get a seat as it was so popular with holidaymakers and residents alike. Reasonably priced and highly recommended.
Trying to avoid paying for yet another restroom my husband and I were looking for an adequate cafe and were we pleasantly surprised! We entered to fine an absolutely stunning cafe with a large variety of pastries we had not seen on the Danube River...cruise. We ordered one raspberry ginger cake item with 2 cappuccinos then ordered another pastry since the first was outstanding! Highly recommend this place for coffee and pastries along with its atmosphere!
Delightful atmosphere. We ordered a calzone crepe, which was very good. It came with a crisp salad. Had cheese cake, not at all but we are used to. Not very sweet and more like a cake than a creamy texture. I also ordered a drink...that contained Prosecco. Apparently I didn't realize what I was ordering as it came with a raspberry sorbet and blueberries but it was very good. Good visit.
We stopped here for lunch on our way to visit the cathedral. It’s a large restaurant with plenty of seating. The menu includes a variety of crepes. Both the sweet and savory ones were delicious. We also had a salad which was huge and tasty....The sweets in the case at the front looked tempting but we were too stuffed to try them this time. Overall great restaurant! Book a table now
Apple Strudel, Cherry Cheese Strudel and Raspberry Cherry Cheese plus a gluten-free French Lace Large cookie we’re absolutely the best we’ve had so far. Highly recommend this cafe. German coffee, espresso, and Cappuccino were also enjoyed.
Nice caffe with a *very tasty* selection of home made cakes in a very old building next door to the Passau Dom. Friendly staff, but sometimes a little overloaded, if too many visitors stream in at one rush. But definitely a place to go.
after our Viking cruise in the old town and before the concert in st. stephens. I would read that they had pommes here and I was not disappointed! the waitress said they had something “Poppy seeds and raspberry” and it was delicious!
the place is really beautiful. Couldn't be better. super beautiful decor and good service. the problem is that they don't know how to make a good espresso. So. the place is 5, the espresso is 2. Book a table now
a great place to stop and a cuppa and cake in a relaxing caffe. enjoy the ambiente and the environment. take a look at the chocolate shop just before they arrive in the caffe.
