The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I may be a little picky since I myself work in the food service. But the restaurant could be kept a little better. The floors (yes I know are what looks to be painted cement) could use a good sweep and mop. Dust bunnies and dust under tables and around the base of the legs. I’m observing this on a Sunday and I believe I’m one of the first few customers. So it’s not like a crowd of customers came through. The tops of the ketchup bottles were caked with dried on ketchup. Salt Pepper could be filled. But again I could just be too picky. Clean dining area gives me the vision of a clean kitchen and vice versa.
Honestly, from the outside this place doesn’t look like much. We have been reluctant to eat here for a while because of its location and looks. We finally decided to try it because we had some friends go and they absolutely raved about it. The staff was amazing, prices were reasonable, and the food was fabulous! The cajun rice and boudin balls were fantastic! The burgers, fish and shrimp were great as well! I only have two complaints: First, because of the restaurant’s location in the center of town, parking is limited. Second, the fries, although tasteful, were cold (probably because we came at closing time). Overall, excellent experience! We will be back!
The restaurant appears to be very unclean, and despite arriving 10 minutes before others, we watched as the table seated after us received their meals before us. We waited almost an hour for just three items, and our meal sat waiting in the window for 15-20 minutes. It seemed as though they prioritized the other table because they knew them. While I understand that good food takes time to prepare, when I see my meal ready, it should be brought to me promptly.
We stopped by yesterday and had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The boudin balls, cooked shrimp, and gumbo were all delicious, hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be returning soon. The waitress was also excellent.

I absolutely adore this restaurant - the crust is perfection! However, I was not impressed with the shrimp and snow crabs.
Our server was Stephanie, and although she says she’s “new,“ she was really good. Very solicitous. And informative.
