for our 11-month jubilee we pumped to dinner in the caldo bar and kitchen in the queen’s park. when they have read my other contributions, they will know that I have a love/hate relationship with tapas and tiny plates. I love tapas, but I hate their exorbitant English prizes. caldo is somewhere where we had thought to go for a past, but it is not what I expected on the inside. I thought it was dark and small, quiet, romantic and very Spanish. but it was quite spacious inside and they showed the football on big screens, I guess that's quite spanish. our waiter was an older English man who pretended to have lost all the enthusiasm for life in the round.

The food here is really nice, and the atmosphere is great but we live locally and have stopped going here because the food is so outrageously over priced. I think they charge either £4 or £6 for a slice of tortilla..! and the Bravas are not proper bravas and they are £6 for a small bowl. For what should be a reasonably priced dinner or bit of bar food with a drink, it can easily turn into an £80 bill for two.

Since they refurbished the place few months ago, they changed a lot for better. Amazing tapas as usual however new lunch breakfast offer looks so interesting. Lovely salmon and cod fishcakes are definitely worth to try. Fixed price lunch (starter+ main+ pint) menu is a great option for a quick break at work. Staff friendly and charming as always.

ate a lot and my mouth is still watering, a great new menu, homemade coconut and caramelized pineapple panacotta to boot, mains and tapas to die for, you'd be a fool not too try
