We have enjoyed several fabulous meals here in the past couple of months. Two birthdays in January, a couple meals in February and dinner on Easter Sunday. The food has been mouth watering on EVERY occasion, no matter what we have ordered. The staff is fantastic from the hostess to the waitresses and any one else that works there. They are all friendly without being overbearing and this contributes to an overall fantastic dining experience. The ambience is relaxing and rustic and the huge fireplace is beautiful. We just visited Caldwell House for the first time tonight, and I can assure you, it will not be our last. Jems like this are a great asset to a tourist area like Lake George. It was a great value, a cozy, relaxing non rushed atmosphere, and positively top notch food! The prime rib was to die for, and the shrimp scampi was a huge hit with the kids. The early bird specials include dessert, and the bread pudding, and strawberry shortcake were fantastic. So so glad we stopped here on our last night in LG. We can't wait to visit again, and the Caldwell House will be one of our first stops when we do!
The food is beyond delicious and the service was great as well. Our table had amongst us the Prime Rib, Steak, Steak and Crab legs. All cooked exactly as asked. Dinners came with salad and potatoes and vegetable. Portions are big so we had some food to take home and that is not a bad thing. We had chocolate cream pie, coconut cream pie and cheesecake for desserts and not a drop remained they were that good. Definitely will go back again when we visit our kids again from NJ. See ya another time Caldwell House!
I'm sorry we didn't find this place sooner! What an amazing find! The food was AMAZING!! Crab cakes were full of huge clumps of crab meat, drinks were awesome, my husband had a steak as big as the plate cooked to perfection and I also had steak that was sooo good! The prices are totally fair, especially for the quality of the food. We will be back!!

first time in the restaurant tonight. my wife and I celebrate years of valentines and that was one of the best. nikki our waitress was top notch so pleasant and friendly. eating as an incredible guard from the kitchen staff. about all one of the best meals we have spent in one, thank you
The food is to die for!! The steak I ordered was delicious,melt in your mouth cooked to perfection and the rest of the meal was great also. Our waitress was fantastic it was like you knew her for years. Overall it was star dining in a relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!!!!!!!
I've been coming to Lake George for about five years now and never been to Caldwell. I decided to try it out tonight and was extremely impressed! This restaurant is really great!! From the food, atmosphere, bartender and speaking with the owner I found my new favorite place!
