I have no complaints about the atmosphere, food, or drinks at Calico. You simply scan a QR code to place your order online, and everything is delivered to your table without any direct contact—pretty neat! That said, the mandatory 20% tip seems a bit steep, especially since there’s no traditional table service. I ordered water without fully understanding the process, and it never came. I probably should have asked, but it would have been nice if it was offered proactively. Again, a required 20% tip feels excessive when there’s no waitstaff involved. Considering the prices, I’d expect the staff to be fairly compensated. Am I wrong to feel this way? Is this what people mean by tipflation?
Came for drinks with some friends after work on a Wednesday. Seating is first come first serve to any table that's available. Really fun bar restaurant! Cocktails are a bit sweet, but beer is good and vibe is on point. They have really cute outdoor and indoor areas with ivy growing all over the place. Have a solid happy hour special, but it gets really crowded on even weekdays if the weather is nice! Food was okay, but pretty affordable and def worth it for this unique experience!

Very hipster. Great food. Hard to find restaurant off of an alley. But the alley is very well lit and safe. The food is made from scratch and unique. Check out the tots and the meatloaf pictures I provided here. They were both amazing. Did I mention the place is hipster? Even the wine glass fits the bearded hipster that handed it to me. :
