Went for a nice coffee on Saturday afternoon. A polite young girl showed me to a table which was filthy, food on the seat and all over the floor. When I mentioned this it seemed to throw her completely and I was directed to another table which was just the same. The place was not even busy. I left and ended up at another far cleaner independent coffee shop which was also better value. This is not the first time we have been disappointed here, but since the web site has no contact dtails for feedback we have posted here instead. With all the excellent independent eateries in Shrewsbury, this place is going to need to up its game.

Not knowing Shrewsbury that well we came across Camellias by chance. Inside we were met and offered a choice of tables. There was a good choice of food available on the menu. The food was fresh and tasty and plenty of it. A large pot of tea kept my partner happy. Prices were what I would expect in a tea room like this. The only down side was that the waiter handed me my glass of coke by the rim which is not an hygienic way to serve drinks. Overall our experience was good.

My first visit here. Will definitely be back. We ordered 2 afternoon teas. One would be enough between two. Between us we had ham, egg mayo, cream cheese and cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches. The ham melted in your mouth. There was a scone each with jam and clotted cream and two huge slices of coffee and walnut cake. Large pot of tea. Absolutely delicious. Lovely place and the staff were polite and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a very enjoyable early afternoon tea with cake (and coffee) in an excellent centre town location. There was an excellent choice of very tempting cakes and gateaux on the counter. The staff were quite charming but took a little while to serve our order. Otherwise excellent Book a table now

Nice location and nice exterior. Shame about the packet bought scones and the tea bags in the pot of tea? Surely scones should be homemade and the tea should be fresh as it states on the menu??

To taste the classic tea. Very good sandwiches, cake...They should improve the bread, very industrial, and the pastries.

A reasonable coffee here in pristine tea rooms. It was very quiet at 10am in the morning. Book a table now
