After arriving late in the small town of bayeux, we decided to walk to the city near the place where our room was. the first place we fell was the bayeux campanile restaurant. This one is located outside the hotel of which it is part and seemed at first glance rather empty. However, once we entered, there were decently plenty of other guests at this late hour (about 9:30 pm). I and a friend stayed at the first class hotel in front of the campanile on the edge of bayeux. our hotel has provided a 15% discount card for this restaurant and as the day had been long and it rained, we decided to cross for convenience reasons. staying next to the first hotel, we just went to see this place. this restaurant has a very good salad buffet with many delicious dishes to start your meal. choices for entries are steak, hamburger, ribs, etc. with the choice of two accompaniment dishes. We all had the steak, rice and ratatouille and the entrance salad bar and a drink tour less than 70 euros for four people! a good deal for the meal and to eat in france during our trip of three weeks! they also have a nice dessert buffet at the bar to complete your evening. they had a huge tour bus of people and meals and service did not miss time! It was our first full day in bayeux and after exploring, we stopped here for lunch. It was a Sunday and a lot of places were closed. We had the salad bar portion of the buffet. Tomato soup was warm but tasty. Salad trims were very well cut, so once you've created your salad, you don't need to continue cutting/cut into pieces of a bite. The bread was delicious and the wine was good. We were the only ones at the restaurant and everyone was very friendly.

meets the needs of two adjacent hotels. If you have driven and are tired and you just want something to eat, it will satisfy. I think it's good for the North Americans looking for "familiar foods" but also includes a French selection. This is not the place to visit if you are looking for authentic quality cuisine from the Norman region.
well placed and only five to 10 minutes walk from the centre. We had luck with the room, which gave on a cow field with the arrows and roofs visible beyond. I couldn't have dreamed better. The staff is very happy and helpful. That's what we expect from campanile, but the position and proximity of bayeux were a plus!
not to the height of what we expected for the price! desserts looked pretty small. a waiter put a very large plate of fries in front of my husband while he only asked for a small amount. . . I said I didn't want it! looked very close to me until I left a tip!!!
small menu, poorly prepared food and served by uninterested staff. almost raw burger, dry and unappetizing fish. certainly not a good value for money. I wouldn't go back. The only advantage is that it is close to the hotel.

the menu has a lot of choice and was prepared for the order. the service was attentive and small touches like a free amuse-bouche and a 2nd coffee were appreciated.
It is a solid restaurant with tasty dishes and good prices. nowhere in france food is cheap, so it is a reasonable choice for food.
