We are just back from lunch at the Cannelle. We each had a tuna salad that was ok but overpriced. The main reason we would not go back was due to the rudeness of a member of the staff - he might even be the patron but we do not know. My husband turned the salt shaker and the top came offf covering his salad in salt. They bought him another one and did not replace the salt. I was drinking a coke and was in the midst of pouring and the member of staff walked by and knocked the coke bottle out of my hand. We have visited this area for many years and so it was wonderful to find a new place. This is a real Gem. We were in the mood to be off the usual sea view position. This place is quiet amongst a view of beautiful flowers and palm trees . Very friendly staff and please order the lobster salad, it is delicious . Combining grapefruit , tomatoes and a warm salad dressing with a generous portion of Lobster works beautifully . Desserts are presented to you and hard to resist . We will be back.
I have been meaning to review Cannelle since last year.It is a delightful place with superb food, service and staff.I visited two or three times during the Cannes Film Festival when I was attending and despite being a very busy period I was met with pleasantries and fine service.Presentation of the food is excellent along with great tastes.I would recommend making a reservation if there are more than one person, to avoid disappointment.
My wife and myself like to eat good French cuisine without pretenses. This is the place. It is open only for lunch, for those like myself who would rather eat well in the warmth of day, there is no other place than here. Always good and fresh and at a decent price. For those who want "Mediterranean French " junk food there are many places to choose for the average tourist who doesn't know food other than mac Donald's.

I have only ever eaten breakfast here and it is superb if at a price but even so I usually have breakfast here at least once when I am in Cannes.Superb fresh fruit, fresh juices, croissant, coffee, a huge selection of teas and champagne if you want it.One of the regular waiters tends to be on the grumpy side but service on the whole is friendly
This is a nice restaurant and probably one of the better options in downtown Cannes. The food is good but nothing special, and the price is very Cannes like. It's definitely not a bad choice but will not leave you in awe either..
Was staying in Nice and went to Cannes by train for the evening. As it started to rain we went into the first restaurant. It was OK, a bit pricey. The food was fresh and the staff very friendly, area was a little quite.
