We read the reviews and were encouraged to visit but we were disappointed. German run, you will be greeted and addressed in German... probably the rule in the area but very friendly if you happen to NOT be from a German speaking country. Anyway, food is ok but not great. Our paella with meat came with chicken only, no sausage, no nothing and honestly the chicken was over cooked, so not good. Were charged for 3 beers instead of 2. Not a cheap restaurant, at least not good value for money. Maybe try some other place instead!
We went to the Riverboat two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. We particularly liked the lemon risotto with salmon and the sea bass. The service was also quick, polite and courteous. If you had any questions about the map, you were helped immediately. We were very satisfied and are happy to recommend the riverboat to others. From the well thought-out and beautifully designed ambience of the restaurant, to the warm and competent waitress with perfect timing, to the incredible food, which was a pleasure in every respect, this visit was an experience of our vacation. The food was so excellent here that we decided to come back a second time during our 10 night stay in Canyamel. The menu is simple with fresh fish each day. I had grilled sole. It was well cooked and very fresh. The restaurant seems to have changed hands since my last visit and the prices have gone up so not the great value for money it used to be but still worth a visit.
