Capitol - Table reservation

While this restaurant is very similar to all others in Wernigerode with their offers of food and drink, it is characterized by additional dishes of fish, fowl and other meats that offer a varied choice. The food is well cooked, tasty and the accompanying side salads dressed in a slightly sweet acid dressing that is a perfect fit for the fried elements of the dish. We both cleared our plates, and the final costs were a little less than 2 other restaurants we had. The menu also had English translations, thanks to Capitol, which really helps. Service was pleasant. We had to pay in cash, this seems more common in Germany than expected. I barely use cash in the UK today.

We tried were a little worried as this restaurant was not very busy. We needed have! Excellent value and we'll cooked. We both had venison. I had the goulash (picture included) my wife had venison in red wine sauce. Both were very tender and cooked to our liking. For the expert the steak in sauce may have been over cooked but it was perfect for my wife. (Which in the long run it all that matters). Both dishes were 12.90 euro each and with a beer at 2.50 each seemed great value. We recommend this restaurant to some others staying at our hotel.

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten out. I was amazed at the size of the venison it was enough to feed two people. Meal was nicely presented, waitress was so pleasant and made us feel really welcome. Meal was such good value Definitely recommend this restaurant

Not only I totally ruined Duck so dry I couldn't swallow. The waitress argued with me and finally put her on my bill. The worst restaurant ever.

Beautiful area outside and very good food. The duck with walnut sauce and Brussels sprouts was delicious.
