I asked for lettuce, tomato, and onion, but my meal arrived plain, yet I was still charged for all the extras. There was no line, which makes it clear they’re not paying attention to orders. I hesitated to write this review, but I believe it's important to share my experience for the sake of improvement. Unfortunately, I have to say it was a disappointment for me. The falafel was dry and gritty, served on a soft pita, but the texture and flavor left much to be desired. I recommend reevaluating your recipe, as I've enjoyed much better falafel at other places. I only sampled the falafel and fries, and the fries were lacking in salt—though, they are just potatoes after all. I hope my feedback is received in the spirit it's intended, and perhaps the other items on the menu are an improvement!
Capitol Gyros is now under new ownership and features a newly remodeled interior. The entire menu is halal. Service was a bit slow—I waited nearly 20 minutes at the drive-thru—but the staff was very apologetic about the delay. The restroom is located outside, just around the corner from the restaurant. As for the food, their chicken gyros and chicken platters are outstanding and great value for the price. It does get quite warm inside during the summer, although I’m not sure if the air conditioning was working properly. Overall, I’m a repeat customer and will definitely be back.
I highly recommend Capitol Gyros—you won’t be disappointed. I tried the chicken and lamb platters, and they were fantastic, even though I’m not usually a lamb fan. I would definitely order them again. The pita bread was wonderfully soft and flavorful, and I enjoyed every bite on my plate. The 6-piece falafel was okay, though not the best I’ve tasted. On the other hand, the Halal Western Bacon Cheeseburger was amazing!

The gyro was tasty, but the fries were seasoned inconsistently, leaving some of them inedible. I also wouldn’t recommend the burger. Since I visit this area once a week for work and like to try different spots, I’m crossing this place off my list. On top of that, there are no restrooms, so there’s nowhere to wash your hands.
At Capitol Gyros, the dishes are consistently outstanding, and the seasoned fries are equally delicious. To get the best experience, especially with the fries, I suggest dining in, since takeout containers can occasionally make them a bit soggy. The menu offers a great variety that keeps me coming back.
I had an excellent takeout meal with gyros and falafel plates, and the next day I ran a marathon. I would definitely do it again next time! I was a bit unsure about the sauces (they seemed like sriracha and ranch), but since I enjoy those flavors, everything turned out to be delicious.
The gyros are absolutely delicious, and their fries topped with meat and sauce are the best! It's a fantastic locally-owned spot that I often visit for lunch.
