extremely small portions. someone at my table ordered the rainbow trout $20) and it was a very small, thin, sad looking piece fish. everything comes only with one side that is kartoffel, pommes, swirl rings or mais on the goat. mahi mahi was in order, but again, only not impressive for the price. the service was also slow, we waited a long time between the arrival and the order, and then again between the completion of our small plates and the review. I do not recommend it!
Came here at 5:45 on Sunday and there weren’t many people for dine-in. Service was great! We shared several dishes and the only one we didn’t like much was the clams casino due to how many green peppers were used. Everything else was great, especially the broiled combo deluxe! Whenever I come back home for a visit, I make sure to come to Cap’n Cats for dinner at least once.
There was nothing special about the food. Everything was greasy. We had the crab cake and soft shell crab sandwiches. The fries were good and the coleslaw was tasty but heavy on mayo.
Very good for seafood in the area ordered the fried scallops and the scallops were amazing. Also, ordered the New England soup and shrimp cocktail very good and enjoyable.
