Captain Americas - Table reservation

About the nicest thing i can say is the food was edible...barely. When i called to book the guy seemed to be a mix of surprised and inconvenienced. Should have been enough of a warning. On arrival we gave the details of our booking and were asked to 'just sit ourselves over there, the girls will be in to help us soon'. A sign on the register announced that due to an EFTPOS problem they were only accepting cash. This is not a cheap burger joint- they start at around $15! For a start there were no American soft drinks (at a Captain Americas) they had ran out. The chips were under cooked, the burgers were ok, they only had one chocolate mouse left, only one piece of key lime pie and one piece of apple pie left and this is on a saturday night at 7.30pm ??? My son ordered a chocolate sundae and the waitress bought him out the childs version so it had to go back and wait again for the right one. Trying to get cutlery was a joke and my son ending up eating the sundae with a fork. The service was amongst the worst I have ever experienced. Needless to say we will never go back.

Pleased to read that this establishment has been listed on the Victorian Government Food Convictions Register for failing to meet statutory standards.

Been a while since we have been here but the ribs are still the best. Pork & pecker was the choice for most, wings & ribs yum.

child friendly. good burger. a bit dark inside, but nice interesting memorabilia on the walls. quite cool
