5-22-2022 Went there tonight and was so disappointed...I couldn't even tell if it was chicken or fish, took it back up there and they insured me it was fish, said they had to settle for a lesser quality of fish because of supply issues, but it was the same price...ice machine slings ice all over the floor, and it wasn't all that clean...Used to be the best in town. Prices going up but the quality is getting worse....
I ordered a large drink but got a medium instead. The breading on the fish was burnt and had the taste of old, greasy oil. The chicken pieces were much smaller than usual; they looked more like little chicken nuggets than proper chicken strips. Furthermore, there were fewer fries than they usually serve as a side. This has been my worst experience at Captain D's. I even took photos of the burnt fish to document it.
The food was amazing, but unfortunately, my experience today was disappointing. I didn't get the order I placed, and I noticed that the ice machine was missing a lid, which is a bit worrying. Also, the ceiling seemed quite dusty and dirty, which could potentially contaminate the ice. To make matters worse, the sink in the women's restroom was not clean at all.

At first glance, it may not look very impressive, but the flavors are truly remarkable. If you appreciate a little spice that complements rather than overwhelms the fish, be sure to try the Captain D's Sauce!
The cashier seemed a bit distracted by chatting and didn't notice that my family was waiting to place our order. However, once she realized we were there, the process went quickly and smoothly.
At 6:30 PM, we received fries that were double-fried and quite greasy. However, everything else was enjoyable. I truly believe that taking their chocolate cake off the menu is a mistake. Book a table now
The shrimp was overcooked and tough to chew, and the chicken was undercooked. I tried to call for extra sauce, but they didn't answer the phone.
