I visited the drive-thru at 9:30 PM and the staff seemed reluctant to take my order. They never mentioned they were closing, but when I pointed it out, another employee finally came to the speaker. However, after I placed my order, there was complete silence on their end. I kept trying to get their attention, saying "hello," until they finally acknowledged me.
When I went to pay, my total was $28.06, but I handed over $29. The girl just walked away without giving me my change. To make a long story short, I had to call the police that night to help me retrieve my money because they provided me with a receipt that showed a lower amount. I ordered a 3 piece chicken tenders with lemon pepper seasoning and fried okra with lemon pepper seasoning and a 2 liter pop yesterday evening on 7/24 about 6pm. IT WA AWFUL!!! The chicken was dry and overcooked no lemon pepper. The Okra was not cookednor did it have any seasoning put on it. It all was a total disaster they even had the nerve to offer a few extra pieces for thewait as If the order was prepared the order correctly. I?m upset to have had paid for such a mess of an Order!!! They need to dobetter I will never be frequenting this Captain Jays again! I order from others in the city on a regular and have had such aterrible experience as this!!!
I called to place my order over the phone, and the young lady who answered was very rude. I could hear her talking to someone else in the background, and when I provided my name, the person she was speaking to actually questioned what I said, as if I were lying about my name. The staff at this Captain Jay's location are exceptionally rude. I really dislike this place.
Late at night, I went through the drive-thru and ordered an eight-piece chicken meal. The service was surprisingly prompt. Initially, I thought the restaurant was closed because it was so dark, but when I noticed a car at the drive-thru window, I circled back to place my order.

The chicken was terrible! I don't know if the blood wasn't washed out and was cooked like that or was bruised either way it should not been sold. It had a liver taste to it, which is the only way I can describe it and I hate liver. I will not be back!A waste of close to $60
This is a great spot for fried, greasy food. The chicken wings are always fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad experience with the greasy food here, which is something I truly appreciate about this restaurant.
The food was good, the service is great, but the atmosphere was terrible dim bleak just dark and gray and gloomy... This place could really use some brightening up.!!!!!
The food was enjoyable; we ordered the fish bowl. It was perfectly cooked and not burnt, and they didn't overload it with lemon pepper.
