After arriving at Alpe D'Huez we went for a little walk around town and came across this little place. When I was looking through the menu I was certain I wanted a toastie. When this arrived I was shocked! A toastie you would think of as some filling squished between 2 pieces of bread and grilled, or even a baguette with the limited space completely filled. Oh No! This was a baguette with no space left, the filling bursting at the edges I can imaging it was like playing a game of Buckaroo trying to make that. Absolutely great value for money and the was very flavorsome.
We went to Alpe D'Huez on holiday last year and found captain sandwich. We returned again for a snowboarding holiday just last week and again we went to captain sandwich every day for lunch. Fantastic menu, British menu, irn Bru, full English breakfast. Everything you want you will get at captain sandwich. The owner Adeline is extremely friendly, speaks great English and could remember us from last year. She is very warm and welcoming. Makes such a difference to your holiday and makes us want to go back each year! Round strongly recommend trying captain sandwich
Having visited C.S many times in the past month, you can certainly say we love it! Customer service levels are at the maximum they should be and the choice on the menu is Huge including gluten free options. Perfect for lunch during or after a day of skiing!
The owner is very friendly and more importantly serves good food. She has a terrace and indoor seating. You can also take away. I am definitly coming back!

Searched loads of places for an english breakfast, this place does it!! Hooray. Waitress was lovely, breakfast and a tea x2 was €26. Happy Days.
Standard Chinese buffet menu but everything we had was good and not over salty or greasy like it is at some buffets.
Great sandwiches - they even have IrnBru! All the sandwiches were made fresh. Loads of space outside to set down.
