I have visited capture the castle in the past and purchased items but never stayed for tea or cakes. I came along during the week with my mum and my sister, we were going to take a seat as my mum and dad regularly eat...in here, the guy recognised my mum and said hi but when I asked him if they have a toilet his tone completely changed. They have no toilet, which surprised me being that they serve food and drink, but ok that's fine... However as I am pregnant, I would not have been able to sit through my whole visit there without one, so I apologised and said I would have to go else where. I felt bad and tried to lighten the mood by saying I'm sorry I just have a very weak bladder at the mom...
possibly my favorite shop in rochester and there are some great. I've got this. 9 times from 10 I come with something, often as a gift for others. many of the camps originated from Denmark, so it is different from the mill, mass produced things they get elsewhere. it is also very favorable that I usually see at the end a few things that I like and, while I chat with the owners (which are by the way absolutely charming, knowledgeable and helpful) as they wrap my things, I also raise 2 3 other things. next to the load they serve coffee and sandwiches and quiches for lunch, but I wasn't brave enough to sit down if I would buy everything at the end!
Went with my wife today for drinks and a cake before we headed home. I had the iced coffee with cream which was really good and my wife had a coke. We shared a slice of cherry and marzipan cake which was gorgeous. Service was...fine and it's a very nice little shop. Have a bottle of tap water if you go here even that's good !
I just bought my beautiful mama the most perfect pink trilby and she absolutely loves it. .. the best shop of all time. thank you so much that you are so stylish and I have great loading jealous! x

Very friendly staff, a nice cozy shop with a great assortment of home living stuff and great Sandwiches and nice coffee. Bought some lovely Candleholders.
Always a pleasure to have lunch and a browse. I usually find something I must buy my other half always finds a cake he must try x
