Our visit to The Car Barn in Wheatley started out poorly. The main entrance was poorly designed with entering and exiting customers having to manipulate their ways in out through a narrow opening with a poorly marked small step up. My first thought was that the decor of this establishment had no connection with its name. I half expected some hot rod memorabilia or even pictures of race cars or famous drivers. The restaurant provided the worst service and food I have ever experienced. We waited 2 hours for our 7 meals, which arrived cold. The burgers were made incorrectly with all the toppings, including bacon that we specifically asked to be left off. When we requested a correction, the waitress attempted to remove the bacon with her fingers instead of fixing the order, so I had to do it myself. It took 38 minutes to receive plain chips and salsa, which were not appetizing. The burgers had no flavor and the bread was stale. Had reservations for a large group on Mothers Day. It took 2 hours to get our food. If you cannot handle large groups than to do not accept reservations. The owner/cook/manager scheduled staff very poorly. Waitress was polite. Manager would not come and speak to us as requested. Will NEVER go back. Kept saying our food was being plated, it takes an hour to plate food?????? Very poor!!!!!!!!!!
I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend for a drink. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of service and selection. It wouldn't be too difficult for them to offer a better variety of mixers for their liquor selection, but unfortunately they do not.
