The Carbeile Inn gave 33 members of Wilcove WI a fantastic Christmas lunch today! From the minute we arrived, they had arranged a super area for us with plenty of space which worked well as we had brought 5 huge Christmas hampers to display for...our raffle! The tables were beautifully dressed with handwritten place cards and they were all smiles for us despite some members being rather late and holding up the service. The food was excellent most of us chose the Christmas carvery (which they are famous for). Everyone really enjoyed the lunch, the staff and owners could not have been more helpful and we never felt rushed! Thank you Carbeile from all of us xx

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but the service and food were both lacking. It took a long time for our food to come out, even though the atmosphere was calm. We overheard other tables complaining about the wait as well. When our food finally arrived, the chips were cold on one dish and the jacket potato on another dish was barely warm. We had ordered extra cheese on the jacket potato but there was none. The portions were also very small. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning, despite the beautiful ambiance.

the personal was helpful to start with the return to table and drinks, although there was no communication about having an outside door open in a room, with them also sat some other families there, so the room was unpleasant and...cold. I understand that ventilation is needed, but next to an open door sitting in the middle of the winter, does not die a pleasant and pleasant visit. p.

I apologize, but if you've paid a high price for a pint of Thatchers, you may be disappointed with the taste. I visited a Slug and Lettuce near Tower Bridge in London about two weeks ago, and was charged £4.20 for one pint of Thatchers. I understand that the staff may not care much about the locals, but as a native, I will not be returning.
