I found this place while wandering around Wyandotte during my break from classes; when I felt like having something to eat. I went in, smelled the amazing flavours, and right away knew that this was the place to BE. I ordered 1 beef and 1 chicken patty, and plantains! The BEST Pattie’s and plantains I’ve ever had. Beef was perfectly spicy and the chicken just was perfect in every way… The plantains: absolute perfection. Also, the restaurant was clean and staff was friendly! I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes on the menu!!
I’ve never been there, I’m not even from the country, but this owner spirit, her generosity and pure happiness of doing what she loves is inspiring. I’ve seen the food pictures, and it looks absolutely amazing, I can bet the flavors are amazing as well as the hospitality. And yes, she IS the real queen of the kitchen! God bless her business 10 times more, till the she can retire safely.
Nice little spot for j and Caribbean food. I always get the same thing which is a small meal but ask for only fried dumpling and j chicken. I usually get two oversize dumplings in the serving and it fills me up and is very delicious. The owner is so delightful and from time to time will throw in a 2 plantains and always gives a warm smile.
The owner's kindness is about to go viral. It's people like Barbara who immigrate to Canada who not only make thier lives better for them, but everyone around them. Food is great! But the Washroom has been under maintenance over 3 years, I’ve never been able to use the washroom ! Pretty sure every food outlet is suppose to have a washroom available!!
Love the curry chicken and achee and salt fish. The rice and peas need a little work as it was dry. Always great service!
