This is one of the best places to get good meat at a reasonable price. Dishes are copious and if you order the "churrasco" you can have all the meet that you want. The service is good if you go on days when there is not a "special night". Yersterday was one of those nights and the service was quite long. Only three waitress for a full restaurant. The music was loud and people was almost screaming to be able to comunicate.If you want to have a fun night with music and in a large group, this is the place. Otherwise choose a non "special night" to have a quieter evening.
Second time we have visited . Sadly we found the cuisine rather bland,starters were heavy and doughy or so full of bones I feared for my teeth. The main course of broiled chicken complete with skin and bones with rice and salad was devoid of any spice or herb and was at best tepid. A type of crème caramel dessert was good as was the wine list. The place was full, it was Saturday . Ideal for a party or one course meal otherwise not for us.
We visited Carioca mainly because it was near our hotel, but also because we fancied something a bit different. We all opted for the churrasco which was extremely good value for money. Lots and lots of meat of good quality (steak, lamb, chicken, turkey, sausages, all perfectly cooked) and the starters and sides were good too. Also a good selection of south american wines (which is not something I expected to see in Bordeaux...
Seven of us travelled to Bordeaux for a week supporting Ireland in the Euros. We ate in this restaurant twice and found the staff, the food and the overall experience excellent. We when for the "all you can eat" option and were not disappointed. Make sure you are really hungry when you arrive, you will not be disappointed. We also frequented the bar associated with the restaurant and were treated superbly. COYBIG

I was on my own and wanted to go somewhere with a little atmostphere, I obviously chise the wrong night.The service was mediocre, no Brasilian smiles around.I chose a typical Brasilian dish, there was the quantity but really not much quality, ecerything tasted a little bland.My advice, try the place on weekends, its probably better.
A really nice Brazilian restaurant in Bordeaux! The price is affordable and the quantity is generous. The food is delicious but I think it's not extraordinary. The service is good and the atmosphere is very cosy. You have a good time, sharing food with your friends.
Happened to pass the Restaurant and decided to give it a try.Great food and fantastic service !! The positions where massive and extremely well cooked, the waiter was brilliant and overall we had a great meal.If you are a lover of meat it's a must!!
Visited this place with 5 other people. We had to wait nearly an hour for our food but when it came it was fantastic., lots of subtle flavours. They were very busy so the wait was understandable.

Excellent atmosphere and very big meals so you better be hungry. I came with a group a Saturday evening and even though it was a bit full we still had a great service and a very nice time.
Great wholesome meals with some surprising good cooking and well marinated and grilled meats. Very good value at euro 28 per person for the churrascaro option which means all you can eat!
