Try this place for the first time with my boyfriend. Made a reservation and was immediately greeted with an unwelcoming scowled hostess/waitress that said less than one word to us walking in. She slammed the menus down on the table, and from there it was all down hill. The waiter rushed us the entire time. And I mean rushed. This man had somewhere to be! I had one sip of wine before he begged for an entree order without even offering any apps. He was ready to grab my (still full glass of wine after we put our order in and had to be reminded we weren’t quite finished. As we listened to the complaints of the table besides us, I realized how petty and ungrateful people are these days about the smallest things. Truly, the vast majority of negative reviews on here are probably from old people too crusty and self-absorbed to show gratitude. Nitpicking is not helpful, especially from people that this world would be better without. Honestly, screw the negative reviews on here, Carmela’s is a class act that Lincoln is lucky to have. People need to have patience, and if not, stay under the rock you live in.
First time I have eaten here. My wife and I decided to try something new. We both ordered the special which was the prime rib. My wife ordered rare and I ordered medium- rare. Both came to the table tough as leather and well done. I also ordered the 14oz and maybe was 8oz at most. I honestly don't think I've had a worse steak. The bill was around $100.00. As an additional note the waiter said as we paid that it looked pretty well done and not right. So yes he served it anyway. I guess we learned something!
We were not able to go out due to my husband's leg injury so we ordered take out. Oh my goodness it was fantastic. The dinners were hot and the steak was cooked perfectly. The walleye dinners were hot and delicious. We couldn't have been more pleased. Carmelas never disappoints.

We had both had Oscar's favorite. That is a grilled tenderloin filet, a crisp crab cake smothered in hollandaise sauce. Delicious only begins to describe how wonderful this dish is! They also have very nice wine and dessert choices. We will return.
Food was incredible! Recommend the ahi tuna tower! The poblano salmon was also amazing had a great spicy and creamy sauce and risotto was also amazing!
We left Momos because of noise and unwillingness to honor our reservation. Came to Carmelos and found Serenity!
Matt served us well and made solid recommendations. The wine and desserts were great! We will be back!
