I've been enjoying the incredible pizza at this place for many years! I highly recommend their white pizzas, like the Buffalo chicken, rosemary chicken, and steak bomb. They use garlic oil instead of red sauce, which makes them unique. The crust is outstanding. It's definitely worth the drive from far away since there aren't any good pizza spots around the New Bedford-Fall River area. Whenever I have the chance to visit, I'm always excited and find it difficult to decide what to order, and my excitement grows even more when I take that first bite.
I visited the area for a week, but the restaurant was never open during the summer. They might as well close for good, or perhaps they already have but haven't informed anyone. There are conflicting hours posted on the doors, on their website, and even in the voicemail when you call, not to mention their Facebook page. It's all very confusing. Someone might want to check on the owners; they could be lost at sea! They claim to be the best in Newport, but when you don't actually open your doors to serve food, that claim rings hollow.
Ordered half olive and mushroom and they charged me for two toppings. I asked and they said they dont do half rudely and walked away? Could have told me on the phone when I ordered and I would have got my moneys worth. Speaking of money, overpriced for a pizza with raw dough center. Customer service is a joke. I work in the service industry and thats not how you run a business if you ever want repeat business. One and done.
I must also mention the SNOWTINI, a drink made with various types of vodka and coconut. It's absolutely fantastic, but be warned: it's very sweet! Overall, I had a fantastic time at Carmella's. The decor is simple yet cozy and inviting. I highly recommend trying the Carmella's Combo—you won’t regret it!

The pizza here is truly incredible! The service is excellent, and the place is spotless. You absolutely have to try the oven-baked French fries—they're out of this world! A visit is a must if you're in Newport, Rhode Island!
I had the worst pizza experience ever, especially as a first-time visitor. The pizza was burnt on the bottom, and I didn't notice until I got home. I'm truly disappointed!
The best pizza we've had by far, and we've tried quite a few! The garlic parmesan cheese is a must-try, and the cheerful garlic bread is absolutely delicious!
I'm sorry to report that it seems they have permanently closed; their phone is disconnected. It's tough to find a substitute for their amazing pizzas.
