We visited Carmines Pizza House for lunch while traveling through Jacksonville. We arrived at 11:30 and although the parking in front of the restaurant was full, we had no problem getting a booth to eat at. But by noon the place was full. We were greeted by a pleasant gentleman who invited us to sit any place we chose. He then left menus with us and we perused the specialty pizza section looking for something safe and something interesting. The safe choice was the Home on the Range pizza; basically a meat lover 's pizza. The interesting choice was Da Bomb. It 's a pizza with blue cheese, chicken, and jalapenos with a drizzle of hot sauce. Both pizzas were really good. The crust was not soggy...
I visited Jax in the store and, as usual, wanted to try a good pizza compound. After extensive search, I chose Carmines Pie House, especially because the pictures looked good and I felt deeply contaminating, and thank you! I had the 10 Chicago with paprika, sausage and banana pepper and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even navigating a problem with the oven earlier a day and still curb good cakes in the afternoon! Keep the good work Carmines, next time I'm in town, I'll try one of the NY style offers.
This could finally have fixed the itch for an authentic tasty deep meal pizza. I tried, maybe half a dozen other places in Jacksonville and this place brings it home absolutely. Fast to fill out, bring friends! Also had a cannoli before eating, dessert first when you become. That was good too, I can't say it was the best I ever had. But it was good. I'll come back for a few other attempts from here, I recommend you do the same.
Opened here with a fee tables at 5 pm on a Saturday when we left, there was a waite with a lot outside. Fun place, big menu. Children eat pizza slices are HUGE. Meals average of $12-$18 a person, many choices and portions large enough for to go boxes. Will be back :
