Unfortunately was a bad experience my mother, aunty and I used to come often to this restaurant. This time it seems the quality of food and service was horrific. My mom and auntie got the salmon with steam veggies and rice. The rice look overcooked, but it was actually spoiled had a slime texture, sour taste. My experience was differently the pancakes were undercooked and hashbrowns as well no seasoning and undercooked. The service was kind of sad, when I saw an orderly gentleman trying to cover 7 tables and the manager was more concern of wrapping utensil with napkins instead of helping his serve (Lead by example). Hopefully it gets back to the old times
I ordered the lumberjack breakfast. Food was good. Portions seemed a little smaller than what was shown on the menu. Picture shows two eggs, it seemed like I got one scrambled egg. My slice of ham was smaller than what was depicted on the menu. The french toast was literally one thin slice of bread but it was good. We ordered one English muffin and it was the saddest ugliest looking muffin I've ever seen in my life. The rest of the food was up to standard. The waitress provided very good customer service and we got our food pretty quick.
Since I was a kid. It is the way to the family-friendly restaurant in South Pasadena. You've been in business for over 20 years. Only Brunch had here today and the quality of food as well as the price was still absolutely fantastic. Much better than your typical Ihop or Dennys. It's a chain, but it feels like a family business. Got the banana cream pipe as well as today and boy it was delicious. Would definitely recommend, friends and family and you too.
This restaurant is a timeless classic. You can always expect consistent quality here. Despite rising prices everywhere, the cost of our meal was actually reasonable. We had to wait over 30 minutes to be served because they were short-staffed the day we visited, but our waitress kindly informed us of the delay as soon as we arrived. It was our first visit back since the beginning of the pandemic, and we were happy to return.

An old classic. You always know what you get here. Even though prices have risen everywhere, the cost of our meals was indeed appropriate. We had to wait over 30 minutes to serve the day we visited, but our waitress has the delay of the minute we went to the restaurant and she wanted to show us to our places. Enjoy the visit again, as we have not returned since the beginning of the pandemic.
From the restaurant chains, carrows and Marie callendar are in my opinion among the best.The portions are good sized, a lot of food for the money. Their pies are great, I specially like the grilled steaks, the prime rib and the grilled four cheese prime rib steak sandwiches.Great service and served in a timely manner.
The Worst Breakfast I've Had In A Long Time. Eggs were burnt on the bottom, and totally uncooked on the other side.. had to finish cooking them myself. Smallest pieces of French toast ever, without flavor. Hardly any hashbrowns. Waste of $30. Better to just go to iHop. Be warned.
we love this place to have breakfast. the menu has many possibilities. marsha is our Fav server, but everyone is equally welcoming. a single restaurant in California. a moderate price menu and large coffee!

Your banana cream pee is so good, I eat a whole cake! Great service, good food thank you! I do not know that this was also one of the locations for the terminator in 1984.
