We ordered a takeout of whiting and chips to enjoy at the beach nearby. The chips were decent, but seemed to have been reheated. However, the battered fish was disappointing. We couldn't even identify what type of fish it was, but it definitely didn't taste like whiting. It resembled shark meat, was soggy and mushy inside a thick, tough batter, and lacked flavor. Overall, I would not recommend returning to this establishment.
The restaurant is now under new management and I was not disappointed. The service provided by the young man was excellent, with a friendly and accommodating attitude. I will definitely be returning often for their delicious fish and chips. The location in Carrum is perfect for getting takeaway and enjoying a meal by the beach.
Always come here. It's fresh and the portions generous. The staff are also very friendly and it's so easy to make a phone order and then collect. Excellent
