Carvel was a new name to me until I moved to New York.Countless locations on Long Island and superb tasting ice cream and cakes.I always order online and pick up here.They have ready to eat cakes at all times in this store and customizing them onlineis a breeze.The ice-cream cake is really good and you can get a fudge top for extra .The customisation cakes are really cuteand vary from season to season.I have always got cute ice cream cakes here for special occasions and everyone loves them.Mychild is a huge lover of the chocolate cookie crumble that is their signature flavour.I am a fan and Carvel is a name I am notbound to forget anytime soon!
Daughter and I were in a mood for ice cream and I am addicted to the Carvelanche! Came to this establishment and I have to give a review because the super clean atmosphere, the nice staff and the generous portions really impressed me! I got the Carvelanche at another spot and after it was blended it was halfway down and that’s it, but this place after it was blended they topped it even more and filled to the top! My daughter’s sorbet wasn’t small either as she couldn’t even finish a small portion! I always believed that places should give a little more just to make customers happy and want to come back and I will definitely come back!
There is a noticeable difference between this Carvel on Old Country Road. The ambiance is welcoming despite the plastic barriers due to Covid19. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the variety of ice cream options available. They are generous with the hot fudge topping. The prices seem more affordable here compared to other locations. The ice cream is flavorful and delicious. However, the Old Country Road store feels like a disappointing imitation. The concept is nice, but the quality of the ice cream is lacking. It seems like it fell off the back of a truck - not good at all.
I have mixed feelings about this. The staff, owners, family, couldn't be nicer, sweeter, or more helpful. They are a wonderful family who welcome you graciously and are happy to help you in any way. For that reason, I would give them five stars. However,the value and size of the Carvel ice cream cakes, are not what they used to be. Our family has purchased these cakes for manyyears. We've decided that was the last one. The quality of the cakes must be made better to warrant the price. It's a shame.They used to be a 5 star product.

It is like night and day between this Carvel the one off Old Country rd. The atmosphere is inviting despite covid19 plastic everywhere. The entire staff is happy and knowledgeable of the good ice cream opportunities! Happy to give generous pours of hotfudge. Somehow it seems cheaper at this location than the other one what?s up with that?! Their ice cream is filled withflavors. Old Country rd store is like buying a fake purse ? idea is nice but it feels like the ice cream fell off the back of atruck ? it?s terrible!!

However, the value and size of the Carvel ice cream cakes have decreased compared to what they used to be. Our family has been buying these cakes for many years, but we've decided that will be our last purchase. The quality of the cakes needs to improve.
So glad I found this carvel!!! Not only that they fly strawberry saucer, but they also had black raspberry flying saucer. Both were a big hit. My friends especially loved the black raspberry while strawberry was still my favorite. The new owners were particularly beautiful. Had a good variety, place was clean, and glad that they had a groove-free dive. Really important to me because my son is allergic to all tree nuts. Super happy and will return.
I cannot believe walked in here with my two young SonsTo get ice cream And there were bugs all over the buckets of ice cream I don't know if they were roaches. I could not deal with any of this I've never seen anything like it Most Carvel's are verycleanThis place is absolutely not clean... just sell cans of whipped cream Can't hurt yourself with that

This place is great for ice cream. Staff is very friendly and the owner is really sweet. Everytime I go in with my 3 yr old son, he always gets treated like a customer. We get all our cakes here including our specially made custom wedding cake.
Just drove here and it says business hours close at 10:30. It’s 10:20 and all I needed was a sheet cake. Doors were locked and owner refused to sell me the cake even though I was there 10 minutes before closing time.
