bold familiar empordanès locat al cor d'un bucòlic poble fronterer. the cuina és de la terra, i també ho és el personal, i els productes, amb els quals elaboran plats magnífics, com la cassola de porc senglar i ceps que vaig demanar. the incomings també estaven molt treballats, i les desserts són Casolanes. the servei és polite, atent i professional. només puc parlar pel restaurant, ja que no estat hoste de l'hostal, però de ben segur que la feina ben feta també es veurà reflectida allà.
We went to this restaurant as I remembered going there years ago, so were guessing that things might have changed. This was some of the freshest, best value food we've had in ages! The catalan salad was so large that the meat and cheese came on a separate plate. The home made cannelloni were the best we've had with the most amazing bechamel sauce. The house special of cod with clams was just amazing and so huge that we couldn't face dessert which we had hoped to.
Tasty Catalan food, generous portions, full of flavour. This is our second visit, a couple of years since the last, and the same pleasant team was there The food is honest and simple, but very good. We'll be back again some time. The photo is of the 4.95E Catalan salad entree yes this one dish is served on two plates!
It's the fourth time I go and don't disappoint. the food is made with a lot of affection and is noticed on each dish.
