Came to Casa del Mar for a private party. The private space is located upstair on the second floor, and I can say it's more than worth it.The service was wonderful throughout the night. All servers had top notch customer service. Truly commendable.The drinks were regularly priced. I would've preferred to have more variety on the menu, but again, this was a private party. So, I imagine the regular would have a lot more options.The Yuca Frita was the start of the night!!!!
Casa Del Mar, a nice little gem in this part of The Bronx. I had searched high and low for a new Happy Hour spot for the girls and I to mingle in. The location is something to be desired. Please note to do your best to avoid rush hour traffic if you would like to dine here! Upon entering, we were flabbergasted by how pretty and on theme it was! Everything was a blue hue, to make it seem like we were underwater in clear blue seas. The waiter we had was very questionable
Food was good but service was terrible. Food took forever to come out and server was inattentive. The drinks are extremely watered down and overpriced. They also charge a 'non-cash fee ' for using a card that 's not disclosed up front and the tip is automatically included in the bill, this wouldn 't be an issue if the service was actually good. Would not return because of the terrible service and lack of transparency.
Very friendly staff. As an African American I don’t usually feel as welcomed into Spanish owned establishments but this one is different. The staff is very nice and welcoming. And the food is good and the drinks are great. My daughter was crying and the waitress was very nice to her. The food at this restaurant was tasty but somewhat lacking in portion size. I opted for the seafood soup and was disappointed to find it only filled the bowl halfway. The drinks were decent. It seems like prices have increased, which is a common trend. I was taken aback by the addition of a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, as well as an automatic gratuity of 18%.
Both me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time at this place. The food was excellent but some of the food that was on the menu did not have all of the ingredients that it said on the menu. But all in all it was a very good place. Our server gliesmel did a wonderful job on her second day of work there and she rocked it. I would highly recommend going there.
Myself, my family and friends visited here from Philly and Houston Texas. We were NOT disappointed! Everything was a 10/10. From the food, to the service, to the ambiance. My grilled octopus was some of the best I ever had, and they aren’t stingy with the portions, I’ll definitely be back.Food: 5/5
