We came to this place one week day evening recently and spent quite some time before we could find a parking space on the road close to the Eifelplatz. On arrival at the restaurant we were warmly greeted despite being only of the we had reserved a table for. Intriguingly one of the waiters then really annoyingly challenged my order for beer. He patronisingly explained that I needed to order the local Kölsch beer and went on to explain what that is never once bothering to check that, having lived in this area of Germany for the last years or so, I might have heard of, or even tasted the stuff... This restaurant at Eifelplatz is a bit more expensive than many local restaurants, but it’s still pretty good value. My wife and I both had the zucchini starter, which was excellent in the view of my wife and pretty good from my perspective. My wife...had the calamari starter as her main course, and that was superb she allowed me a few bites! I had the fish carpaccio, which was good but not amazing. Given my lack of German and poor Italian, I’m afraid I’m not sure what the fish was! They’ve been in business for twenty five years, so they’re obviously doing something right. Probably not worth traveling all across town to visit, but worth stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood..
There was no response for our reservation request via web. I think the system does not work properly. Anyway we have decided to go by considering a good advise of our friend. One table has given us just one and a half hour. Each of...us has sprinted up to finish the dinner within targeted time : Meals quality were moderate. The Sicilian white wine was good. The coffe machine was broken. We finished the dinner without caffe. As a conclusion the restaurant can be chosen for a moderate level quality and good ambiance of Italian
We were here with a small group of five and since I came too early, was offered a nice table. The waitress and waiter made me feel at ease. Then the rest of the party joined me and we ordered five different dishes. Each one of them was good. The service was good and not too fast or too slow, for that matter. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys Italian food and atmosphere. And, there are no pizza's on the menu, of course. Nothing against a good pizza but it is not really restaurant food...

Just had one of the best pasta dishes outside of Italy it was simply stunning. Can't wait to return. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and was deservedly full. I imagine a booking is essential here. The food is matched with excellent and attentive...service what is not to like about this little corner of Italy in Cologne. An excellent and relaxed evening with friends.Highly recommend
Wow. Came to this place for a quick meal. Saw an expensive limited menu but thought, ok give it a chance. What a disappointment. Food took far too long to come out for what it was. That is supposed to be osso bucco. But meat...is tough and portion is very small for Unless you’re desperate, give this place a miss
fairly pleasant atmospheric indoors and outdoors, service a bit too slow, limited menu, later upon leaving an additional food board I spotted, prices 10-15% higher than in similar restos based upon the given menu, yes, most of the time uncomfortably loud
For a business lunch I was asked to come to the Casa di Biase. The service and the food was ok, but not outstanding. The menu was limited, they offer just a few dishes for lunch. It was not bad at all, but won't be on my "go again list ".

Great Italian Restaurant with friendly and attentive service. We tried the surprise menu (fish) and were surprised by a fantastic dinner with good value for money. This was our second visit and for sure not the last.
