Off the main street in Freiburg past the archway, we found this restaurant down a side street and it was buzzing. Upon entering we my friend and I were shown downstairs to a table at the side of the kitchen bar area. We were...attended to by the owner of the restaurant whom was a very sociable person, great sense of humour. He recommend us to have or Tapas dishes and something to wash it all down. So we ordered accordingly and had a nice young bottle of Rioja to drink. The food was very tasty and as we chatted with the owner, he mentioned that he came from Montenegro I think. Not the cosiest place, but if you go to spain, thats what its like there as well. white tiles all the way up and bright lights, TV running with sports channel. Staff is very busy since its always crowded und noisy. Wine selection from cheap...to expensive but average price rather low compared to others. tapas are excellent and the daily changing menu is never bad either. its not a fine dining place, but if you are a group of friends and want a affordable evening with talks and wine and some finger food on the side, this is the place to go
The waiter, a bunch of rudeness, started an argument at the table with us and continued to do so with neighboring tables. We were wondering how fast the food was served to the table, even before the wine was there, as we received the answer...to it the next day feeling sick. The taste was nice, yet quite loveless presented with a blob of aioli or whatever aside. If you want to enjoy a relaxed and romantic dinner this is not the place to be. We will not recommend nor go there again
Okay Spanish food, but good wine. Would be nice if they changed the offerings on the menu once in a while, although there are daily specials. The clientele is mostly older. Difficult to get a table at times, especially outside in the summer. Service is...usually good, and the guy downstairs can be quite funny

This place was obviously popular, we managed to get a table with another group of people, which was ok. We had nice tapas and the service was quick. The atmosphere at the terrace was nice and we would go here again.
Around the corner from one of the main streets we found this authentic tapas bar. Good portion sizes and good variety. Gambas a la plancha were excellent as were the mushrooms in garlic and herb butter
