My family and I had one day to spend in Oviedo and we wanted to go someplace special. The receptionist at our hotel recommended Casa Laure, whose good reviews I had already seen on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious the croquetas, the fabas and clams, the rice and clams, and the steak. To top it off, one of the best rice puddings (arroz con leche) I've had in 20 years in Spain. We ate outside at a table on the picturesque Plaza Trascorrales, which incurred a 10 percent surcharge on an already considerable bill, but the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Agree with most reviews: this is not a cheap place, but the quality and the cooking of the food is exceptional. We started with a special, which was a real highlight: scrambled eggs with boletus and foie gras, freshly prepared and just perfect. As main courses, we had the leg of lamb (lechazo) and the ox tail. Very intense both of them, and vey filling, so no dessert for us... Unexpectedly, we were the only table almost all the time, but still, it was a nice atmosphere and service was great.

discreet restaurant in oviedo, which often happens without realizing it, but it is a great discovery for all who know it. very high quality raw material and a high level kitchen. exceptional treatment, great tranquility, without bars, and a beautiful atmosphere in the backyard square. recommended to 200 never fails.

We were heading to El Gato Negro when we came across this fabulous restaurant. The menu grabbed us and the small, quiet venue was just perfect for our wedding anniversary. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Great service a stunning local Asturian food!
