I was shocked. First off, the quality and quantity for the cost ratio was unreal. Much of the food/ingredients are home made and you can tell. I was shocked by the menu prices; they truly are a two dollar pricing restaurant with 5 star quality food and service. We had the fried zucchini, tortellini champagne, and the steak Americano. I ordered medium rare and it was the juiciest pink temperature with perfect crisp searing. The service stood out to me the most. It is a family owned family run business, and you can tell by the personal touch that you get. This is a local restaurant for me and my family and we are regulars (about once or twice a month)... well not anymore. We had a reservation at 4:45 yesterday... Service was really, really slow it took over 45 minutes to order...the owner came over and just made a comment that it would be a couple more minutes... it was another 20 minutes. My wife ordered the Grouper special and frankly it was awful, she left most of the food on the plate, I ordered the Suprema Di Pollo Scarpariello... it came with no sausage and the server didn't seem to believe me when I told her... she came back half way through the meal with 4 tiny pieces of sausage.... Not once did a manager/owner come back to the table...
I've been sharing delightful dinners with Maria, Pepe and the entire Casa Nuova staff for over 20 years. All customers are truly treated like family and the food is incredible. Recently Maria jumped in to assist me with a large family dinner that was unexpected. All I had to do was pick up the food, pop it in the oven and serve. CN is owned by a wonderful family who strive to make your dining experience remarkable!! This is an all likelihood the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food is always great and the service is beyond what you would expect. Highly recommended!!
