I had the most flavorful Pollo Guisado I have ever had at Casa Vicente. The Pollo Guisado came with potatoes and I also requested a piece of bread on the side just for fun. Vicente himself came out to take our order and he turned out to me the kindest man in all of Spain. It is evident he cares a lot about his restaurant, the guests and their experience. I’m all the way back in the USA now and am wishing I could go back to Casa Vicente for more Pollo Guisado. We each also got Tarta de Queso for dessert which was good too. Everything was very reasonably priced. We had a good time here! Thank you Vicente!
For a three course meal I paid 28E and the food came out suspiciously fast. The first dish soup with beans and chorizo tasted like it was two days old. The famed Cochinicollo was served the fries came out of a freezer, The traditional Segovian dessert was pretty miserable, portion wise I was paying 28E after all! and the coffee that was not included in the meal was average. The carafe of wine was about the only redeeming feature as it allowed me to drown my sorrows after realising that I had been ripped off in a glorified fast food restaurant.
We went to find a place to eat, away from the prices of the city center and the hustle and we found this restaurant. At all times they treated us like our house. They were very attentive to us and very kind. The dishes were very abundant and the meatballs from the menu, as I said, of the best we've eaten. the menu is super affordable and the food looks like the grandma's house.
Recomiendo menú segoviano por 33 euros: judiones de la granja, cochinillo, postre, pan, agua y vino de la casa. Todo rico, salvo el vino. En mi opinión deberían ofrecer una copa de ribera. No nos hizo falta reserva y eso que fuimos la noche del viernes del puente de diciembre. Muy céntrico.

Stopped for lunch and one of us had the suckling pig very moist and juicy with great flavours, along with a crispy skin. The rest of us had more basic dishes and the total bill for four with soft drinks was under €65.
family food. We order 3 menus. the good chochinillo and the very rich calf stew. the children's menu was enough for two 7-year-olds.
