Service was great especially as the restaurant was very busy. The staff were attentive and helpful however with regards to my steak I was not impressed at all. Two of us ordered the Sirloin steak which wasn't cheap so I was expecting a nice tender steak but mine had a serious amount of gristle which was obviously left on my plate and even the waiter noticed this and asked if everything was ok which obviously I said not really, also although the steak was tasty it was pretty chewy again not something you expect from a 30 day aged steak. It comes with fries which were very nice but no salad just an inch square dollop of cress of some kind, surely a small salad wouldn’t go a miss with the price...
Family had a fantastic meal here last night. The food as always was very good. The service was also very good. We had the specials scallops with risotto and I was very pleased to see that the scallops had the roe attached. So often scallops are served without the roe. Then two of had a pollo funghi really good, othered had the salmon and the Castello pizza. My grandson’s meal of spaghetti pomodoro came with our starters and the restaurant were happy to substitute spaghetti for penne. Only 2 of our party had room for dessert chocolate soufflé and a child’s portion of strawberry ice cream. Would highly recommend. This Italian gem in our most favourite place to eat. We come here at least once a month, and always bring visitors here as well as choosing it as our place for any celebration. Our most recent visit was for an early Mothers Day celebration, and it did not disappoint. The food is always fantastic, with excellent choice and delicious specials available. The service is second to none. Nothing is ever too much and we are always made to feel welcome and special. Our daughter in particular loves it here. Her first visit was at 7 days old and now she is nearly 7 years old! A wonderful family restaurant that has so much to offer. Absolutely recommend on every level!
Lovely lunch with the family on a Sunday. Really friendly welcome and the service was excellent throughout the meal. Great that kids can order a smaller portion of any pizza or pasta from the main menu for £7.95. I had a main off the specials board which was delicious, would’ve been even better if it came with some veg. Cocktails are reasonably priced. Cheesecake for dessert was amazing! The only downside is that the only option for kids dessert is one scoop of ice cream for £2.85. We will definitely be returning.

What can I say? Castello,you are amazing My family organised a surprise 60th Birthday lunch. From the moment I walked in,the service was faultless. 17 adults and 5 children including a 2 month old baby and no pre orders required!!!!! You were so accommodating and happy to join in the celebrations and take photos. The food was very very tasty and piping hot. Your chef deserves a medal getting 21 meals cooked to perfection and all served at the same time. Simply the best. Thank you to you all.
Another great meal at Castellos. We were reflecting during our meal on how we've been here over 10 times over the years as this is our local restaurant and we've never had a bad meal. Tonight we enjoyed prawns and calamari to start, pasta pomadora and Tropicana pizza. All was served promptly and excellent service as we were on a tight schedule. Very reasonably priced and as always, the facilities were immaculately clean. We will of course be back.
This is some of the best food we’ve had that’s not far from us 30/40 min drive, we will be coming back for more that’s for sure. Food is perfect Cocktail’s are perfect.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants outside of Italy. Outstanding food, great service. If it had a car park, I'd give it 6 stars.
