This is a fish market, not a restaurant. All dishes are served without even the most basic vegetables or condiments. You get the grilled sea food, nothing more. Hardly haute cuisine. Worse is that they don't inform you about it. When we ordered two baby squid dishes as starters we got two...... baby squids. Something that doesn't even qualify as an appetizer, let alone a starter. Staff speaks an incomprehensible spanglish. Ridiculous prices for what you get. The only saving grace was the excellent wine menu, but still... huge disappointment. How this restaurant has such a high score is beyond me. For 160€ for 2 people we left with barely any food in our stomach.
Marisco y pescado de calidad son los protagonistas indiscutibles de su carta. Una variedad de especies, características de la zona, de un nivel excepcional. Y unas brasas para su preparación, que prueban la maestría y las enseñanzas de su hermano mayor, el restaurante Elkano de Getaria. Este restaurante localizado en el hotel Iberostar es, sin lugar a dudas, una visita gastronómica obligatoria si estás por la zona. Te va a encantar.
La comida excelente, sacando lo mejor de los productos de la tierra. Ostión de Cadiz, ortiguilla a la brasa, un impresionante besugo a la brasa..... todo un deleite para el paladar. Marinado con unos buenos vinos recomendados por el sumiller. El servicio inmejorable. No se puede pedir más. Un sitio para recomendar y volver sin ninguna duda.
Let's face it. With seafood it is mostly about freshness. This place has amazingly fresh stuff. We have tried the oysters, just right, the carabineros, absolutely perfect and the local red snapper on the grill. It was timed perfect at around 15 minutes and remained juicy and tasty as it should. Hats off to you guys, we will be back
